Kidwiz terms of use
The rules for using the app, in plain words.
The licence
Kidwiz is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. That agreement applies to the app on every iPhone and iPad it is installed on, and these terms add to it.
Who can use Kidwiz
You must be 18 or older to create or hold a Kidwiz account, and Kidwiz asks you to confirm it the first time you sign in. Kidwiz is made for parents and other adults to make things about and for their family. It is not made for children to use, and a child may not have an account. The one exception is a trained voice in Debate: a child may read sentences aloud on the parent’s phone, after the parent has given consent as the privacy policy describes. You may show what you make to anyone you choose, children included.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close it and delete what it holds.
Photographs and the people in them
Add only photographs and drawings you have the right to use, of people who have agreed to it. Each time you add one, or add a person to your cast or to Debate, you confirm that:
- you made it, or whoever owns it allows you to use it this way;
- each adult in it has agreed that you may use their photographs and likeness in Kidwiz; and
- for each child in it, you are their parent or legal guardian, or their parent or guardian has agreed.
You are responsible for what you add. If someone tells us they are in a photograph added without their agreement, we may remove it.
What you make
What you make stays in your account and is private until you share it. A share link stops working when you stop sharing it or delete what you shared. Describe things that are suitable for a family: Kidwiz checks the words you type and the AI services can refuse a description, and when they do, you are asked to change the words and you are not charged.
Anyone can report a creation or a shared link, from the app or from the page the link opens. We read every report and may switch a link off.
Balance and purchases
You top up a balance in the app with purchases through Apple. The price of each creation is shown before it starts, and the first creation of each kind is free. If a creation fails you are not charged for it. Refunds of a purchase are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; when Apple approves one, the amount is taken back from your balance.
Your data
What we collect, which AI services receive it and how to delete it is in the privacy policy. You can delete your account from the account page in the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes about these terms or Kidwiz go to the state or federal courts in California, and you and IRL Labs LLC agree to their jurisdiction. If you live outside the United States, you keep any protection that the consumer law of your country gives you and that an agreement cannot take away.
