When I Grow Up takes a selfie and shows the same person as an astronaut, a chef, a marine biologist — whatever they want to be.
Common questions
- The generated face doesn't look like the photo
- The models work best with a well-lit, front-facing photo showing one face, with nothing covering it. Sunglasses, hats, heavy shadow, and group shots all make the likeness worse.
- Generation failed or timed out
- Image generation runs on outside services that are occasionally busy. Wait a minute and try again with the same photo.
- I want my photographs and account deleted
- Email us from the address you signed in with and say you want your account deleted. We remove your uploaded photographs, generated pictures, and sign-in record.

Privacy
When I Grow Up needs an account and a network connection. The photograph you provide is stored in your account and sent to the AI services that generate the picture. Because those photographs are of people's faces, read the section on photographs below before using the app with a child.
